| | Suspects named in New Orleans club shooting « Thread Started on Mar 31, 2011, 8:28am » | |
A second suspect has been named in Treme Night Club Shooting that injured three and left one man dead. And New Orleans Police are searching for a third shooting suspect.
Ask anyone who lives near the Domino Effect Nightclub; chances are they'll rattle off a list of problems there.
"Fights, stabbings, the shootings of course," said one neighbor.
Deborah Robichaux has been coping with club related disturbances for years.
"Sometimes you can't park in front of your own door," Robichaux said.
And then there's the shooting outside Dominion last Friday.
Four people were hit. One of them died.
"I'm just dumbfounded by the whole situation," said Robichaux.
Two suspects have been named in the case.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Lance Domino and his brother Floyd Domino.
Both face murder and attempted murder charges in the death of 27-year old Curtis Walker Junior; and three others who suffered non-life threatening gun shot wounds.
But that's not all. Police are looking for another suspected shooter.
Detective Orlando Matthews said, "He acts as club security around the city, and he goes by the name 'Big Kev.'
Detective Matthews is lead investigator in the case. He's frustrated with past problems here.
He said, "There have been numerous amounts of violent actions at the club."
And Domino has operated under other names; including Crystal's Disco, Climax, Club Xscape, and Club Fabulous.
In the Walker murder case, Matthews says police are leaving no stone unturned.
WGNO News Reporter Darian Trotter said, "Police have executed a search warrant at the business, but one critical piece of evidence was mysteriously missing."
Police had hoped to collect the flash drive from security cameras.
"That itself is suspect," Robichaux said. "Why would that piece of evidence be missing?"
Police believe the flash drive contains video footage of last Friday's argument between club managers and dancer's; and the shootings that followed. .
If you have information about the man known as "Big Kev" police want to hear from you.
